What to Expect from Greenfield Water’s Gravity Feed Filtration Systems
If you’re looking for an affordable and portable solution to access clean drinking water, gravity feed filtration systems are a fantastic choice. At Greenfield Water Solutions, we believe in educating our customers so they can make the best decision for their water filtration needs. Here’s what you need to know about gravity feed filtration systems, their benefits, and how they compare to other options.
The Benefits of Gravity Feed Filtration Systems
- Cost-Effective Solution
Gravity feed filtration systems are one of the most budget-friendly options on the market. They don’t require electricity or professional installation, saving you both money and time. - Portable and Convenient
Their lightweight, self-contained design makes these systems ideal for renters, travelers, campers, and anyone who values portability. You can take your filtration system with you wherever you go. - Eco-Friendly Filtration
Gravity feed systems are energy-efficient, using no electricity, and constructed with durable materials that reduce waste over time. - Ease of Use
Setting up a gravity feed system is simple and requires no specialized knowledge. Maintenance is minimal, with filter replacements only needed periodically.
How Do Gravity Feed Systems Work?
These systems use the natural force of gravity to pull water through high-quality filters, effectively reducing contaminants such as chlorine, sediment, and heavy metals. Depending on the filters selected, they can also address fluoride, bacteria, and other impurities.
Gravity Feed Systems vs. Other Filtration Options
While gravity feed systems are excellent for basic filtration needs, they may not provide the same level of contaminant reduction as multi-stage systems like our PureSync Undersink Filtration System. If you need advanced filtration to address PFAS, VOCs, or microorganisms, you may want to explore more comprehensive systems.

Love this filter! Gosh, my water tastes amazing now. Highly recommend this filter. I went with the auquametix filter. I’ve recommended this filter to a friend of mine.

I love it. Water tastes good easy to use. The only thing I wish was that there was a way to see how much water was in the tanks.

I am so happy with my purchase. The 2.25gallon I got is perfect for my wife and I. It sits on our counter perfectly. Was very easy to install all the parts. It even came with it’s own wrench and tools to install it. I really appreciated that. My only constructive criticism would have to be if greenfield had a YouTube video of a step by step process of putting the berkey together. There are a few parts and sometimes the written instructions can be hard for hands on learners. Had to take it apart a couple times -oops. But got it going eventually! Still very happy with this company.

4.5 stars! What would make it perfect is if there was a way to indicate how much filtered water remains in the bottom tank, like a see through strip of glass etc.
Or some sort of mechanism that stops the water from filtering if the bottom tank is full. I understand however that these features would increase production costs etc.
So be aware not to over-fill the top tank if there is still water in the bottom tank, as I overflowed it on my second use and water was all over my floor. I’ve since learned the lesson haha!
